OBLIO - (NEW FACES -TV PROGRAMME).
I later joined a three piece, the idea was to do the TV New faces television programme, but the lead singer/drummer, chose a song that was too obscure - 'House at Pooh Corner' - A Logins & Messina song, it was to celebrate the birthday of "Winnie the Pooh" at that time. Our group name 'OBLIO' was simply taken from the character in the album of the Harry Nilsson called 'the Point' . Micky Most, who was on the judging panel , suggested that the Singer/Drummer , 'Tom Armstrong' should be the front man, but he couldn't 'Hack it'. so unfortunately , it was another 'none starter' and although the group could have been a success, unfortunately it all fell apart .
